Ronaldo-Backed CazéTV to Stream World Cup 2026 Free in Brazil
As excitement builds ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026, a new discussion has emerged around the tournament’s broadcasting rights. Brazilian digital platform CazéTV, operated in partnership with sports media company LiveMode—an investor-backed venture that includes football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo—has announced that it will broadcast all 104 matches of the FIFA World Cup 2026 live and free of charge for viewers in Brazil.
However, the service will be available exclusively within Brazil. Football fans in Bangladesh, India, and other countries will not be able to watch the matches directly through the platform’s YouTube or Twitch channels, as the digital broadcasting rights have been acquired only for the Brazilian territory.
CazéTV was launched in 2022 by Brazilian streamer and content creator Casimiro Miguel in partnership with LiveMode. After successfully streaming selected matches of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, the platform expanded its portfolio to include the FIFA Women’s World Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, the Olympic Games, and several other major sporting events.
For the 2026 World Cup, CazéTV plans to deliver all matches in 4K resolution. The platform will also feature behind-the-scenes content, cultural programming, and interactive shows designed to engage younger audiences.
Meanwhile, the official broadcaster for the FIFA World Cup 2026 in Bangladesh and India has not yet been formally announced. Reports in Indian media suggest that broadcasting rights discussions are ongoing, with several major media groups reportedly interested in securing the tournament.
According to media analysts, initiatives such as CazéTV’s digital-first World Cup coverage could significantly reshape the future of sports broadcasting. However, region-specific licensing agreements continue to limit equal access to such services across different countries.
