OrangeBD Drives Digital Government Projects Across Europe and Asia
Bangladeshi IT company Orange Business Development Limited is working on the digitalization of citizen services in the European country the Netherlands. In addition, the company is implementing multiple projects in the local e-government system of the Philippines.
Among the projects are the Accelerated Provision of Services (LeAPS) Program, Typhoon Response Analytics Application, Realization of the Claims Processing Information System for the Marawi Compensation Board (MCB), and Programs & Projects Monitoring System (PPMS). Alongside serving as a technical partner in these initiatives, the company is also engaged in development and SEO work for projects such as Gambia’s MyGov platform and private sector projects in England including TCC, Habitat, and Syndi—demonstrating the technological capabilities of Bangladesh on the global stage.
Observers believe that through these efforts, the company has further elevated its presence, effectively raising the red-and-green flag in Europe’s technology landscape.
On Thursday night, April 2, OrangeBD authorities informed DigiBangla that the company is currently working as a technical partner in the digitalization of citizen services under the “Digital Government Transformation Project (DGTP)” in Sint Maarten, the Netherlands. Through this project, six key services—including birth and death registration, marriage, divorce, and passport services—will be brought onto a digital platform, ensuring faster and more transparent service delivery.
A delegation led by OrangeBD Director and CEO Md. Shamim Hossain participated in the inauguration ceremony held on March 20, 2026.
The event, held at the Government Administration Building, was attended by members of the cabinet led by Sint Maarten Prime Minister Dr. Luc F.E. Mercelina, along with senior officials of the Netherlands government and stakeholders from various organizations. He emphasized the importance of building an inclusive and accessible digital government and extended special thanks to OrangeBD.
Regarding participation in digitalization initiatives in the ICT sectors of various countries worldwide, OrangeBD Managing Director Al-Ashraful Kabir (Jewel) stated that this achievement reflects the company’s consistent performance and will play a significant role in contributing foreign earnings to the national economy.
“OrangeBD’s achievement is not just for the company but also a testament to the international capability of Bangladesh’s IT sector. Since 2005, OrangeBD has been providing IT services both domestically and internationally and has successfully worked on e-governance projects in countries such as the Philippines and Gambia, as well as various projects in England. At the same time, it continues to make significant contributions to the development of digital services for the Bangladesh government and online platforms of leading media outlets,” he added.
