‘Tel Koi’ App by Gen-Z Developer Eases Fuel Panic Buying Chaos
Amid widespread confusion at fuel pumps triggered by panic buying, a web-based application named “Tel Koi” has emerged as a hopeful initiative to reduce public inconvenience. The app was developed by Gen-Z data analytics enthusiast Sajib Khan.
Within two days of launching the app, Sajib Khan—who graduated in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE)—released its second version. Within three days, the application’s unique user count exceeded 10,000, while more than 500 users were using the platform simultaneously on average.
By the fourth day, the app had exceeded the free server limits of its hosting platform, recording more than 1 million hits. As a result, developer Sajib Khan has been working intensively to keep the application operational.
Speaking about the latest update, the developer said that ensuring the reliability of the Tel Koi app is now the top priority. To guarantee 100 percent accuracy in reports, a live GPS verification system has been introduced. Under the new system, verified reports from users located within 1 kilometre of a pump will display a green “Verified” badge. Users will also be able to see the exact distance—such as 350 metres—from which a reporter submitted information. When the report form is opened, the GPS system will automatically activate in the background, enabling faster report submission.
To prevent fake reporting, all reports will now be verified directly through the server, ensuring that no one can submit incorrect or fabricated information without actually being near a pump.
