Telecom service provider Robi Axiata will join forces with enterprise service partner Axentec, an authorized Starlink reseller, and technology-neutral broadband provider ICC Communication to bring high-speed internet to remote, underserved, and hard-to-reach areas. The partnership was formalized on December 22, Monday, at Robi’s headquarters in Dhaka.

The agreement was signed by Axentec PLC CEO and Managing Director Adil Hossain Noble and ICC Communication Limited Managing Director Saiful Islam Siddique.

Robi Axiata Company Secretary Shahed Alam; Axentec Director Md. Asaduzzaman, General Manager Gausul Azam Arafat Ahmed, and Product Manager Abir Mahmud Tasik; ICC Communication Group CEO Lt. Col. (Retd.) Jahangir Hossain and Director Samir Salim Siddique were present at the signing ceremony.

ICC Communication executives including CIO Abdur Razzak, CTO Sadab Mani, CMO Nur Huda Talukdar, CBO Delwar Hossain Liton, Head of Data Connectivity Shamim Ahmed, Head of IP Telephony Sohel Sikder, and Ayna OTT CTO Tanzin Rahman Tonu were also present at the event.

During the signing ceremony, it was announced that the partnership aims to overcome the costs and complexities of installing fiber or cable networks and directly deliver high-speed, low-latency internet services.

Saiful Islam Siddique stated that as an authorized Starlink affiliate reseller, ICC will offer value-added services under its own brand, including 24/7 technical support, on-site installation, network monitoring, and custom integration such as VPN or static IP. This will allow customers to access comprehensive connectivity solutions on a single platform. Additionally, the existing terrestrial network (fiber and wireless) will be integrated with Starlink.

Axentec MD and CEO Adil Hossain Noble expressed excitement and confidence about the partnership with ICC. He said that by leveraging Starlink’s modern satellite network, reliable high-speed broadband internet can reach rural areas, islands, and hilly regions with network gaps.

He further mentioned that this initiative will expand ICC’s service portfolio and ensure affordable internet access for populations in long-neglected network-gap areas. The improved connectivity is expected to open new opportunities in education, healthcare, business, and digital services.

The agreement also stated that ICC will immediately provide reliable broadband service in rural, island, and hilly areas using Starlink’s satellite network, while simultaneously enhancing its service portfolio. This will enable uninterrupted connectivity for mobile operations in disaster communication, temporary event management, and specialized industries such as agriculture, tourism, broadcasting, and maritime sectors. Moreover, multi-link bonding will increase overall bandwidth, strengthen network resilience, and ensure automatic failover in the event of outages.
