Bangladesh is set to make its debut at the FIFA E-Football World Cup, scheduled for late 2025 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. For the first time, Bangladeshi gamers will have the opportunity to represent the national flag on foreign soil across console and mobile gaming platforms.

The announcement was made on 24 August, Sunday, during a press conference titled ‘BFF E-Games National Qualifiers, Road to Riyadh 2025’ held in the conference room of the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF). BFF President Tabith Awal attended the event.

It was revealed that Bangladesh will have the chance to participate in three games at the E-World Cup: E-Football Console, E-Football Mobile, and Rocket League.

"The winner of the National Qualifiers ‘Road to Riyadh’—either individual players or teams—will represent Bangladesh in the Asia-East and Oceania Online Regional Qualifiers. From this regional stage, three console teams and four mobile players will qualify for the FIFA E-Football World Cup in Riyadh. Qualification details for Rocket League will be announced later," BFF stated.

The tournament mirrors the structure of the FIFA World Cup, with competitors representing their countries, making it not just a competitive platform but a stage of national pride for gamers.

The preliminary phase, called the ‘Challenger Series,’ has already begun. The national-level qualifier round will select two console players and one mobile player to advance to the Asia-East and Oceania Online Regional Qualifiers.

From these regional qualifiers, three console teams and four mobile players will earn a spot in the final stage, which will feature 11 teams selected from six regions. The Rocket League qualification process has yet to be finalized and will be announced later.

For national qualifiers, console registrations will run from 24 to 29 August. The mobile gaming final round is scheduled for 20 September. Rocket League registrations will be open from 25 August to 12 September, with quarterfinals to finals taking place from 4 October. All matches will be held offline (LAN-based), with venue details to be disclosed later.

Regional qualifier schedules have also been set: console qualifiers will take place from 17 to 28 September, while mobile qualifiers are scheduled between 2 and 12 October.
