ASI School of Life 2025 to Spark Scientific Curiosity Among Young Students

In an effort to ignite a passion for biology and scientific inquiry among school and college students, the second edition of the unique science camp ASI School of Life 2025 is set to be held. The initiative aims to inspire young minds to explore the intricate mysteries of life and prepare them for research-based futures.

The camp will be conducted in two phases—an online theoretical module followed by an offline, hands-on learning experience designed to build a solid foundation for students pursuing research-oriented careers.

The first phase of the camp will be held virtually from July 24 to 27. During this phase, students will join sessions through Google Classroom and Zoom, interacting with renowned scientists and researchers from across the country. Participants will gain foundational knowledge on complex biological topics and an introduction to scientific research.

Following the online phase, selected students will move on to the offline camp, which will run from July 30 to August 2. This segment will combine theoretical lessons with direct lab work, offering students the opportunity to visit prominent research laboratories across the country. A special session titled “Biocity: Youth for Urban Wetland Revival” will also be held, where students will learn about environmental and biodiversity conservation from noted environmentalist Dr. Haseeb Irfanullah. At the conclusion of the offline camp, 12 selected students will be offered internships at prestigious national research laboratories, providing them valuable exposure and preparation for future studies in biology and research.

The camp will be open to students from Grade 6 to Grade 12, divided into two categories: ‘Junior’ for students in Grades 6–8 and ‘Senior’ for those in Grades 9–12.

ASI School of Life 2025 is jointly organized by the Society for Popularization of Science, Bangladesh (SPSB), the Global Network of Bangladeshi Biotechnologists (GNOBB), and the Maksudul Alam Science Lab (MASLAB). Registration is currently open and will continue until July 22.
