DBBL Disruptions: ATM and CRM Services Temporarily Suspended in Dhaka

Dutch-Bangla Bank Limited (DBBL) has announced that several of its Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) and Cash Recycling Machines (CRMs) in the capital will remain temporarily out of service due to scheduled maintenance. The maintenance work will begin at 9:00 PM on Sunday, July 20, and continue until 10:00 PM on Monday, July 21.
As a result, DBBL's ATM and CRM services will be unavailable during this period in multiple areas across Dhaka, including Rampura, Moghbazar, Malibagh, Khilgaon, Basabo, Kamalapur, Saidabad, Jatrabari, Motijheel, Paltan, Gulistan, Old Dhaka, and Dohar upazila, along with surrounding regions.
In a statement, the bank expressed its sincere regret for any temporary inconvenience caused to customers.
H.M. Sagir Ahmed, the bank’s public relations officer, confirmed that prior notices have already been posted at the affected booths and Fast Track service centers. He added, “During this time, cash deposits and withdrawals will still be possible through CRMs located inside relevant branches during regular banking hours.”
This is not the first instance of temporary service suspension by Dutch-Bangla Bank. In early January 2025, from the 1st to the 5th, all banking activities were halted for five days to upgrade its core banking software. Later, from May 6 to May 8, ATM and CRM services were partially unavailable due to a switch system upgrade.
