JUST Successfully Conducts GST B Unit Admission Test
For the fifth time, Jashore University of Science and Technology (JUST) has successfully hosted the B Unit admission test for undergraduate first-year students under the GST (General, Science, and Technology) cluster system, alongside other universities.
A total of 5,839 candidates were registered to sit for the examination at the JUST centre. Among them, 95.92 percent attended the test, which was held on Friday, May 2, for students from the Humanities stream.
The A Unit admission test, designated for Science group applicants, is scheduled for May 9 and will take place from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. On the same day, the Architecture practical (drawing) test will be held from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
Speaking about the admission process, JUST Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Abdul Majid said, “The B Unit admission test of the GST cluster was held at JUST in an extremely smooth and peaceful manner. The university administration took all necessary steps to assist the candidates.” He also expressed his gratitude to the faculty, administrative staff, and various student clubs and organizations for their collaborative efforts in facilitating the examination process.
According to Dr. Md. Munibur Rahman, Coordinator of JUST's B Unit examination centre, roll numbers, centre details, and building directions were displayed on digital banners across the campus for the convenience of the candidates. Additionally, members of the security sub-committee, JUST Journalists’ Association, BNCC, Rover Scouts, and other volunteers were stationed at each building entrance to assist the students.
Prior to the examination, the university had made comprehensive preparations to ensure the successful execution of the test. A sufficient number of law enforcement personnel were deployed to prevent any disorder and to maintain a calm examination environment.
Following the start of the examination, Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Abdul Majid, accompanied by Treasurer Professor Dr. Hossain Al Mamun, visited various exam halls to monitor the proceedings. After the inspection, the Vice-Chancellor interacted with the guardians of the candidates and exchanged greetings.
