Bangladeshi Brilliant Minds Bag Global Glory in Mathematics

Five Bangladeshi students have achieved a rare global feat by securing a perfect score in Mathematics in this year’s Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) examinations.
The five students who attained 100 percent in Mathematics are Md. Faiyaz Siddiqui, Ahona Saha, Mohammad Mohaymin Uddin Naib, Bushra Rubana Afroz, and Sambrata Ambor. Among them, Faiyaz and Ahona also became school toppers, securing 96 percent and 95.6 percent overall respectively. In addition, Ahona earned the prestigious “Cambridge ICE Award with Distinction.”
For the first time in the history of Glenrich International School, Uttara, the highest number of students have emerged as world toppers in Mathematics.
Beyond this extraordinary milestone, the overall performance of the batch has also been remarkable. Out of the 200 students from Glenrich Uttara who appeared for the IGCSE exams, 41 students scored 90 percent or above, while nearly half — 99 students — secured 80 percent or more. The school’s overall average stands at 80.3 percent.
