Tehran Tension: Bangladesh Embassy Opens Hotline Amid Escalating Iran-Israel Conflict
The Embassy of Bangladesh in Tehran has launched an emergency hotline for Bangladeshi nationals residing in Iran. The hotline numbers are +989908577368 and +989122065745.
The announcement was made through a special notice issued by the embassy on Sunday, June 15.
“In light of the prevailing situation, the Embassy has set up an emergency hotline for urgent communication. All Bangladeshi nationals residing in Iran are requested to contact the following mobile numbers directly or via WhatsApp as needed,” the statement read.
Meanwhile, according to a statement released by the Israeli government on Sunday, at least 13 people have been killed and 380 others injured due to Iranian attacks on Israel. Since the onset of the conflict, around 200 missiles and drones have reportedly been launched into Israel, damaging 22 different locations across the country.
On the other hand, the death toll in Iran has reportedly reached at least 80, with many more injured. Al Jazeera reported that in the past 24 hours alone, Israel has carried out airstrikes on more than 150 targets across Iran, including a bombing incident at one of the world’s largest natural gas fields.
Additionally, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) claimed that a missile strike in Iran’s northeastern East Azerbaijan province killed at least 30 soldiers. Israel has also reportedly struck a secret underground weapons facility located in the western region of the country.
