Drone Disclosure: Iran Identifies Israeli Drone Factory Inside Its Borders

Iranian security forces have reportedly identified the location of a three-storey Israeli drone factory operating within the country. The revelation was made by the semi-official Tasnim News Agency, which is affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). The report also claimed that Tehran believes there are several other similar installations inside Iran, and security forces are actively conducting operations against them.

According to The Times of Israel, Israel used explosive-laden quadcopter drones, rockets, and other advanced military equipment during the initial wave of attacks on Iran on Friday. These weapons had allegedly been stationed inside Iran to carry out precision strikes on nuclear scientists, military commanders, anti-aircraft batteries, and surface-to-surface missile systems.

On Sunday, June 15, The Wall Street Journal reported that these weapons had been smuggled into Iran and were not domestically manufactured.

During the early hours of Friday, Israel reportedly carried out strikes that killed several top Iranian generals and scientists. In retaliation, Iran launched a barrage of drones and missiles toward Israel.

International media have reported that, days before Israel's assault on Iran, the United States secretly shipped nearly 300 laser-guided air-to-surface Hellfire missiles to Israel. The shipment is said to have taken place last Tuesday and was part of Israel's broader strategy of stockpiling arms and ammunition.

Unnamed U.S. officials, speaking to Middle East Eye, suggested that the Trump administration had been fully aware of Israel's plan to strike Iran in advance. Until now, the American weapons transfer had not been publicly disclosed.

In an interview with Reuters, two U.S. officials further confirmed that American forces assisted Israel in intercepting Iranian missiles during the escalation.
