Jagannath University Hosts ‘A’ Unit Admission Test for Science Faculty: Absent 3o%

Jagannath University (JnU) has successfully conducted the admission test for the ‘A’ Unit of the Faculty of Science for the 2024–25 academic session, covering both Bachelor (Honours) and BSc first-year programs.
The exam was held on Saturday (February 22) in three shifts, starting at 10:00 AM and continuing until 5:30 PM.
A total of 44,223 candidates applied for 860 available seats in the Science Faculty. Among them, 31,042 students appeared for the test, marking an attendance rate of 70.20%.
The first shift of the admission test took place from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by the second shift from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. The third and final shift, originally scheduled for 4:00 PM, began 30 minutes later at 4:30 PM and continued until 5:30 PM.
In the first shift, out of 14,741 registered candidates, 10,228 students attended the exam, reflecting a 69.38% participation rate. The second shift saw 10,228 out of 14,742 students present, marking a 70.52% attendance rate. The third shift recorded the highest attendance, with 10,418 out of 14,740 students appearing for the test, amounting to a 70.68% participation rate.
The final admission test for the 2024–25 academic year will be held on February 28, with the ‘C’ Unit exam for the Faculty of Business Studies concluding this year’s admission process.
After participating in the cluster admission system with 24 other universities since the 2019–20 academic session, Jagannath University has opted to conduct its own independent admission tests for the 2024–25 academic year.
