Azhari Denies Visa Cancellation Claims, Calls Reports Misleading
Popular Islamic speaker Maulana Mizanur Rahman Azhari has termed allegations regarding the cancellation of his visa in Australia and statements praising Nazi leader Adolf Hitler as completely baseless and false. He made this claim in a statement posted on his verified Facebook page on Wednesday, 1 April.
Azhari stated that he has been staying in Australia for the past five days at the invitation of the Muslim community there. Referring to the reports circulating about his visit as a misinterpretation of a foreign report, he said, “Attributing the visa cancellation to any recent remarks is entirely untrue, as I have not yet delivered any speech there.”
In his statement, he further mentioned that certain vested groups are attempting to influence administrative decisions by presenting his old and isolated remarks out of context. He noted that a similar confusion had been created during his visit to the United Kingdom a few years ago.
Describing himself as a speaker who advocates for communal harmony and peaceful coexistence, Azhari said that his discussions always convey a message of unity. Addressing journalists, he urged them to verify such misinformation and requested not to be misled by baseless reports.
