CUET Admission Test 2024: Thousands Compete for Limited Seats
The undergraduate admission test for Level-1 (Academic Year 2024-25) at Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) was held in two sessions on Saturday. The examination took place simultaneously at the CUET campus and four sub-centers—Chittagong College, Government Haji Mohammad Mohsin College, Kazem Ali School & College, and Chittagong Cantonment Public School & College.
At 11:00 AM, CUET Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Mahmud Abdul Matin Bhuiyan visited various examination halls at the CUET center. He was accompanied by the Admission Committee Chairman and Dean of the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Professor Dr. Sudip Kumar Pal, and Registrar (Additional Charge), Professor Dr. Sheikh Mohammad Humayun Kabir.
The first session, designated for Group ‘A’, was held from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM, lasting two and a half hours. The second session, a one-hour freehand drawing test for Group ‘B’, took place from 12:45 PM to 1:45 PM.
This year, a total of 20,122 candidates competed for 931 available seats at CUET, including 11 reserved seats, underscoring the intense competition for admission to one of Bangladesh’s premier engineering institutions.
