Biman Suspends Flights on Four Middle East Routes Indefinitely Amid Iran–US–Israel Tensions
Biman Bangladesh Airlines has suspended its flights on four Middle East routes—Doha in Qatar, Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, and Dammam in Saudi Arabia—for an indefinite period due to the ongoing tensions involving Iran, the United States, and Israel.
The information was confirmed to the media on Monday, 9 March, by Biman Bangladesh Airlines’ General Manager (Public Relations), Bosra Islam.
She stated that, for the information of passengers, the Middle East-bound flights that had previously been suspended include the routes to Doha, Sharjah, Kuwait, and Dammam, which will remain suspended until further notice. Meanwhile, flights to Dubai and Abu Dhabi will remain suspended until 10 March.
Bosra added that the two routes may resume operations later, subject to improvements in the situation and approval from the respective airport authorities.
She further said that the situation in the Middle East is being monitored constantly, and any necessary updates will be communicated to passengers in due time.
