With technical assistance from Continental Works Limited, France’s high-performance lubricant brand ELF Lubricants has trained 50 experienced mechanics from various automotive service workshops across Bangladesh on hybrid vehicle safety, fault detection, and maintenance. The workshop was organized by the brand under TotalEnergies at Continental Works Limited in Dhaka on Friday, October 24.

The participants received practical training on hybrid battery system care, electric motor testing, hybrid transmission servicing, high-voltage safety, and advanced fault detection techniques.

Terry Hayashi, Commercial Sales Director of TotalEnergies Bangladesh, attended the event as a special guest. The session was also joined by workshop owners, certified mechanics, trainers, fleet service managers, automotive journalists, ELF distributors, and other industry partners.

Speaking at the event, Dewan Sajedur Rahman, Managing Director of ELF Bangladesh, said, “Vehicle technology is evolving rapidly, and our skills must evolve with it. Today’s training is primarily about recognizing those technicians who keep our road systems running every day. We want them to deliver hybrid vehicle services with both safety and efficiency. We take pride in standing beside Bangladeshi mechanics in their pursuit of a cleaner and more advanced transportation future.”

Kosuke Yoshida, Director of ELF Bangladesh, stated, “Investing in skill development for technicians means strengthening the future of the transportation sector. By building awareness of modern hybrid servicing and safe operational practices, ELF is enriching the local automotive ecosystem. This not only improves vehicle performance and safety but also helps establish a sustainable service network across the country.”

According to ELF, the initiative aims to strengthen local technical capacity for servicing next-generation vehicles. The training is being conducted in collaboration with Continental Works Limited and other industry partners, aligning with domestic needs while adhering to international standards.
