Sustainable Synergies: SEMS Global Hosts Multisector International Expo in Dhaka

In continuation of its 15-year legacy, Conference and Exhibition Management Services (SEMS-Global USA) successfully hosted a trio of international expos from May 8 to 10 at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB), Kuril, Dhaka. The events were held daily from 10:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., bringing together stakeholders from the medical, health tourism, food, and agriculture equipment sectors.
The expos included the 16th Meditex Bangladesh 2025 International Expo (Halls 3 and 4), the 8th International Health Tourism and Services Expo Bangladesh 2025 (Hall 3), and the 8th Agro Bangladesh International Expo 2025 alongside the 8th Food Bangladesh International Expo 2025 (Halls 2 and 1 respectively). These events served as comprehensive platforms for showcasing innovations in medical equipment, health services, food and beverage technology, and agro-machinery.
A total of six international seminars were organized during the exhibition, supported by Swisscontact and other partners. On May 8, a seminar titled “Strengthening Agro-Processing SMEs: Creating a Business-Friendly Environment for Growth and Export” was held, followed by “Export Opportunities in Unconventional Markets for Bangladeshi SMEs” and “Where Innovation Meets Beauty and Wellness” on May 9. On May 10, sessions included “Agroecology: Building Resilience to Climate Change”, “Unlocking Bangladesh’s Export Potential in the Agro-Processing Sector”, and “Cafe Culture Phenomena”.
A key highlight of the 8th Agro Bangladesh International Expo 2025 was the premier co-event, the Agro Processing Global Gateway Expo (Hall 2), organized in collaboration with the Netherlands Embassy and BYETS (Building Youth Employability Through Skills) project, implemented by Swisscontact. According to the organizers, the Gateway Expo acts as an international launchpad for agro-business innovation and plays a vital role in advancing the sustainability of Bangladesh’s agricultural sector. The event also aids in connecting local small and medium agro-processors with international markets.
During the 8th Food Bangladesh International Expo 2025, a Coffee Festival was hosted in Hall 1. It featured displays of coffee beans and brewing equipment and included a barista competition on May 10 (Friday), drawing significant interest from coffee industry enthusiasts.
Organizers remarked that the exhibitions are functioning as one-stop platforms for buyers and sellers in their respective industries. “Through cross-border knowledge and technology exchange, Bangladesh’s global image is being enhanced while the exhibitions are simultaneously contributing to the growth of its health, health tourism, food, and agriculture sectors,” they noted.
According to SEMS Global sources, the 16th Meditex Bangladesh 2025 International Expo remains one of the largest and most prominent exhibitions in the country’s healthcare, medical, surgical, dental, and hospital equipment sectors. Running concurrently were the 9th Bangladesh Clinical Lab Expo 2025 and the 11th Pharma Bangladesh 2025 International Expo (Hall 4). Additionally, the 8th International Health Tourism and Services Expo Bangladesh 2025 (Hall 3) was held, representing the country's only and largest exhibition on health tourism and allied services.
