Honor Highlights High-Capacity Handset, Introduces Honor X9D
Smartphone brand Honor has unveiled the international version of its recently launched Honor X70 in China, introducing the Honor X9D. This smartphone is distinguished by its massive 8,300 mAh silicon carbon battery and an IP69 rating, which enables it to resist high-temperature water jets. Compared to the X70, the only notable change in this model is its relatively slower 66-watt wired charging, reports GSM Arena.
The phone features a 6.79-inch AMOLED display (Full HD+, 120Hz), capable of delivering a peak brightness of 6,000 nits. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chipset, accompanied by 12 GB of RAM and 256/512 GB of storage. For enhanced durability, the device includes a shock-absorbing frame.
In the camera module, the smartphone is equipped with a 108-megapixel main camera and a 5-megapixel ultra-wide lens. The device runs on MagicOS 9.0, based on Android 15.
Available color options include Reddish Brown, Midnight Black, Sunrise Gold, and Forest Green. In the Malaysian market, the 12/256 GB variant is priced at 1,499 MYR (approximately $356), while the 512 GB variant is priced at 1,699 MYR (around $403). Pre-orders will be available until October 9, with a complimentary Honor Pad X7 tablet included, according to reports.
