Grammarly Grabs Superhuman to Strengthen AI Suite Strategy

Grammarly has entered into an acquisition agreement with Superhuman, the San Francisco-based email startup, aiming to build a more robust AI-powered productivity suite. While the financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, Superhuman was last valued at $825 million in 2021, with an annual revenue of approximately $35 million, according to a report by Reuters.

The report states that Grammarly recently raised $1 billion in funding from General Catalyst, a move expected to accelerate its development of AI-powered office tools. Grammarly currently boasts more than 40 million daily users and annual revenue exceeding $700 million.

Following the acquisition, Superhuman CEO Rahul Vohra will join Grammarly and continue leading product development. More than 100 Superhuman employees will also transition to Grammarly.

Vohra commented, “This partnership will allow Superhuman to accelerate AI innovation and help build new tools for tasks, calendars, and collaboration at scale.”
