According to UNESCO, approximately 52,800 Bangladeshi students pursued higher education abroad in 2023, up from nearly 49,150 in 2022. However, the majority of these students enrolled in coursework-based programs, mostly self-funded, with relatively few opting for research-oriented or scholarship-supported academic paths.

To address this imbalance and cultivate greater student interest in academic research, the international educational support organization ResearchXpert has taken the initiative to promote research awareness. As part of this effort, the organization recently collaborated with the Career Club of Gopalganj Science and Technology University (GSTU) to host a virtual workshop titled "Write to Publish: A Research Journey."

Held on May 28 and 29 via Google Meet from 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM each evening, the two-day online session was moderated by Shahraan Yaqin Onim, a member of the ResearchXpert team. The workshop featured two distinguished trainers: Tahsin Anjum, a PhD candidate at Swinburne University, Australia, and Taheer Hasan Naqib, a researcher at the University of Malaya.

Throughout the sessions, the trainers elaborated on key aspects of academic writing and publishing, including journal selection, peer review processes, and techniques for enhancing the quality of writing. Around 100 students participated in the workshop, reflecting a growing enthusiasm among Bangladeshi students for research and scholarly publication.
