Huawei Bangladesh Hosts Health Awareness Workshop for Female Employees

As part of its International Women’s Day celebrations, Huawei Bangladesh organized a health awareness workshop for its female employees last Thursday. The workshop, held at Huawei’s South Asia Representative Office in Dhaka, aimed to promote employee well-being and reinforce the company’s commitment to an inclusive workplace.
In a press release issued on Saturday, Huawei Bangladesh stated that the primary objective of the workshop was to provide counseling on urinary health, with a special focus on urinary tract infections (UTIs), a common concern among women. Dr. Sarker Kamrun Jahan Jhinuk from United Hospital led the session, discussing risk factors, symptoms, preventive measures, and treatment options for UTIs.
She explained, "Urinary tract infections can be prevented by adopting simple lifestyle changes. Drinking plenty of water, maintaining personal hygiene, and avoiding tight clothing that traps moisture can help reduce the risk of bacterial growth and UTI infections."
The session was inaugurated by Huawei’s HR Director, Linjiao, along with other company officials.
Linjiao emphasized Huawei’s dedication to employee well-being and equal opportunity, stating, "At Huawei, we prioritize competency above all. Whether an employee is male or female, we evaluate them based on responsibility and efficiency. We have seen that both men and women are equally capable of excelling in their roles. Employee health is also a key focus for us, which is why we provide OPD and IPD insurance benefits. Additionally, we regularly organize health awareness workshops. Today’s session reaffirms our commitment to ensuring the well-being of our female employees."
