Apple Prepares to Unveil First Foldable iPhone Alongside iPhone 18 Pro Series
Apple is reportedly gearing up for the launch of its next-generation iPhone lineup, with a major unveiling expected during the second week of September. The highlight of this year's event is anticipated to be Apple's first-ever foldable iPhone, which could debut under the name iPhone Ultra. The company is also expected to introduce the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max at the same event.
The information comes from a recent report by Bloomberg technology analyst Mark Gurman.
According to Gurman, Apple is expected to follow its traditional launch schedule. As in previous years, the company is likely to unveil its new iPhone lineup on the first Tuesday or Wednesday following the U.S. Labor Day holiday, which falls on September 7 this year.
Based on that timeline, the iPhone 18 Pro series and the long-rumored foldable iPhone are most likely to be announced on September 8, although September 9 also remains a possibility.
If Apple chooses September 9 for the launch event, pre-orders are expected to begin on September 10, with the devices likely to go on sale globally toward the end of September.
Images of dummy units that have surfaced online suggest the upcoming models could feature significant design changes. However, there may also be disappointing news for Apple enthusiasts.
The company has recently increased prices across several of its product categories, fueling speculation that the iPhone 18 Pro series could carry noticeably higher price tags than the previous iPhone 17 lineup.
