Bitcoin Breaks Barrier, Hits All-Time High

Bitcoin, the world’s largest cryptocurrency, surged to a record high of $111,988.90 on Wednesday night before settling slightly lower. As of the latest update, it was trading at $111,259, up 0.4%, according to Reuters.

The report noted that Bitcoin’s value has increased by over 18% since the beginning of the year.

Analyst Anthony Pompliano stated, “The bigger Bitcoin gets, the less risky it becomes.” He attributed the recent capital inflow into the sector to the crypto-friendly policies of the Trump administration.

Meanwhile, Ether climbed to a one-month high of $2,794.95 and was last seen trading at $2,740.99, marking a 5.4% rise. Crypto-related stocks such as MicroStrategy and Coinbase also saw gains of 4.7% and 5.4%, respectively.
