The Nokia 110 remains one of the most popular and best-selling feature phone models in mobile phone history. Building on that legacy, the new Nokia 110 Power has been introduced to the Bangladeshi market with an updated design, extended battery life, and a larger display.
The handset was officially unveiled at a day-long sales representatives' conference held recently at the Gulshan Shooting Club in Dhaka. The event was organized by Selextra Limited, the sole manufacturer and distributor of Nokia phones in Bangladesh.
Among those present at the event were Kazi Al Amin, Business Manager of HMD Bangladesh; Riazul Islam, Managing Director of Selextra; Mamun Khan, Head of Sales; and Mohammad Asif Alamgir, Chief Business Officer.
Feature phones continue to enjoy strong demand in Bangladesh, particularly among users in rural areas and those seeking a reliable secondary handset with extended battery backup. To meet this demand, the Nokia 110 Power is equipped with a 1,750mAh battery, which the company claims can keep the device running for up to 15 consecutive days on a full charge.
Speakers at the launch event said the locally manufactured model preserves Nokia's traditional identity while incorporating features suited to modern users. They described the 1,750mAh battery as the handset's standout feature.
According to the manufacturer, users can enjoy extended operation without the need for frequent charging. Despite being a feature phone, it comes with a 2-inch display, offering a larger and more user-friendly screen than many earlier models.
The phone also features a rear camera paired with an LED flash, enabling users to capture photos even in low-light conditions. Adding a nostalgic touch for longtime Nokia fans, the handset includes the classic Snake game. It is available in Blue, Gray, and Purple color options.
The company also reminded consumers that, in accordance with regulations set by the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC), verifying the authenticity of a mobile phone is important. Buyers can confirm whether their handset is genuine by sending an SMS to 16002 in the format: KYD <space> 15-digit IMEI number. A return SMS will provide information about the device's authenticity.
