Rosatom Completes Key Control System Installation at Rooppur Nuclear Plant

Rosatom has completed the supply and installation of a complete automated process control system (APCS) in the first unit of the Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant project in Ishwardi, Pabna. This marks another significant milestone in Bangladesh's first nuclear power project.

Russia's state atomic energy corporation, Rosatom, announced this information in a press release on Friday, May 8. Rosatom is the main contractor for the Rooppur project.

The press release stated that Rosatom's automation and electrical engineering division, 'Rosatom Automated Control Systems' (RASU), supplied this automated system. The company has installed 22 sub-systems for the first unit, including automated process control and radiation monitoring systems. This automated system will monitor the functionality of equipment, electricity production, and technological processes during the commissioning and operation of the power unit.
