CUET VC Recalls March 25 Atrocities, Urges Progress Toward Just Nation
Professor Dr. Mahmud Abdul Matin Bhuiya, Vice-Chancellor of Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET), said that the brutality of March 25 had inspired the nation to engage in the ultimate struggle for independence, culminating in the long-cherished freedom after nine months of bloody war. He noted that independence had granted Bangladesh its own territory and map, along with the opportunity to work freely.
The Vice-Chancellor further observed that since independence, Bangladesh has made remarkable progress in various sectors; however, many challenges still remain on the path toward building a developed, prosperous, and humane nation. He emphasized the need to ensure good governance, social justice, rule of law, transparency, and accountability.
