Joint initiative launched with Moon Alert
Walton Plazas to Display Missing Persons’ Information

TV screens at more than 700 Walton Plazas across Bangladesh will display verified information about missing people, helping the information reach a wider audience. Walton Plaza, a major electronics retailer and service provider, has launched the “Missing Persons Broadcast” initiative jointly with Moon Alert, a platform that circulates urgent information about missing people.
Walton Plaza and Moon Alert signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) at Walton’s corporate office in Dhaka on Monday, September 28, 2026. The agreement was signed on behalf of the organisations by Walton Plaza Managing Director Mohammad Raihan and Sadat Rahman, president of Zero Missing Foundation, the organisation behind Moon Alert.
Walton Chief Marketing Officer Zobayer Ahmed, Creative Partner Pop-Five Chief Executive Officer Masud Parvez, and officials from the organisations concerned were also present.
Mohammad Raihan said, “Walton Plaza does not limit its work to selling products and providing services. It also takes an active part in social and humanitarian initiatives for the welfare of the public. As part of that responsibility, we have partnered with Moon Alert to share information about missing people quickly and widely.”
He said people would be able to view the latest information about missing people at their nearest Walton Plaza. When needed, they can report a missing person and follow up on earlier reports through Moon Alert’s helpline, 13219, and its web portal.
Zobayer Ahmed said, “A large number of people visit Walton Plazas across the country every day. Using this strong network and the plazas’ TV screens to circulate information about missing people is part of our social responsibility. We believe this initiative will help find missing people quickly and support their families.”
Sadat Rahman said, “The more people receive verified information, the greater the chance of finding a missing person. Walton Plaza’s nationwide network will help share information in many places that would be difficult for us to reach alone. We are glad to have Walton Plaza alongside us in this humanitarian initiative.”
