Airlines Football Championship Begins July 3
ATJFB is organizing the two-day 'Airlines Football Championship 2026' from July 3, featuring 16 local and international airlines.
The first-ever 'Airlines Football Championship (AFC) 2026' is set to begin on July 3. The two-day international futsal tournament will be held at the Gulshan Youth Club Turf in the capital. Organized by the Aviation and Tourism Journalists Forum of Bangladesh (ATJFB) under the theme "One Sky, One Field, One Champion," the event brings local and international airlines together on the same sporting stage for the first time in the country's history.
A total of 16 airlines, including Biman Bangladesh Airlines, US-Bangla Airlines, Emirates, Qatar Airways, Saudia, and Turkish Airlines, will compete in the tournament. Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Afroza Khanam Rita will attend the event as the chief guest. Corporate leaders, country managers of various airlines, and diplomats are also expected to join.
ATJFB President Tanjim Anwar and Tournament Director Md. Adnan Rahman stated that the initiative aims to foster harmony, teamwork, and networking among aviation professionals. The official trophy will be unveiled at a city hotel two days before the kickoff. Envoy-Sheltech Aviation is the title sponsor, while VIP Motors is powering the event.
