Gazipur Police Recover and Return 58 Lost Mobile Phones to Owners

The Gazipur Metropolitan Police has recovered 58 mobile phones that were lost at different times and returned them to their rightful owners through a special operation.

The recovered phones were formally handed over to their owners on Wednesday afternoon, 11 March, at the conference room of the headquarters of Gazipur Metropolitan Police.

According to police sources, the phones were recovered by the LIC (Lost and Found Information Center) branch of Gazipur Metropolitan Police with the assistance of technology, under the direction of the Police Commissioner Md. Israil Howlader. During the event, the recovered mobile phones were handed over to their owners by Additional Police Commissioner (Crime and Operations) Mohammad Belayet Hossain.

Among others present at the event were Deputy Police Commissioner (Headquarters and Finance) Md. Zahid Hasan Bhuiyan and other senior officials of Gazipur Metropolitan Police.

At the programme, it was stated that the LIC branch launched technical investigations and special operations after receiving complaints from members of the public regarding mobile phones lost or stolen at different times. As a result of these efforts, the phones were recovered from various areas across the country. After verification, the rightful owners were identified and the phones were returned to them.
