IUT Inspires Innovation at 37th Convocation
The Islamic University of Technology (IUT) held its 37th convocation on Sunday at its Board Bazar campus in a festive atmosphere. The ceremony was presided over by IUT Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Mohammad Rafiqul Islam, with Education Adviser Professor Dr. Chowdhury Rafiqul Abrar attending as the chief guest. Also present were IUT Pro-Vice-Chancellor Dr. Hossain Arabi Nur.
Congratulating the graduates, the chief guest said, “IUT is the only international university in Bangladesh established under the OIC. It is a matter of national pride. The government will always stand by IUT and continue its full support for its development and success.”
Highlighting the importance of building skilled youth for the future, the adviser added, “The Government of Bangladesh is implementing education reforms prioritizing equality, quality improvement, and digital transformation. We aim to establish an education system that produces world-class skilled, creative, and innovative citizens. If everyone waits for jobs, who will create employment? OIC countries now need not job seekers but job creators among the youth.”
Addressing students, he further said, “Education is a trust for you. Use it for human welfare, morality, and innovation. Let guidance be your belief, knowledge your light, and compassion your strength.”
He reiterated, “The Government of Bangladesh will always stand by IUT and continue full support for its development and success. Education is not an expense; it is an investment in peace, prosperity, and human capital.”
OIC Secretary-General and IUT Chancellor Hossain Ibrahim Taha, in his message, stated, “IUT contributes significantly to the development of technical education and ethical leadership among OIC member states. We thank the Government of Bangladesh for its continued support.”
