Tech Talent on Display: Telecom and Digital Innovation Fair 2025 Showcases 32 Solutions

A total of 32 digital innovations from 20 organizations are being showcased at the “Telecom and Digital Innovation Fair 2025”, held on the ground floor of the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) building in Agargaon, Dhaka. The day-long fair began on the morning of July 23, Wednesday, and is scheduled to conclude in the afternoon.

The exhibition features multiple innovation concepts and technical solutions by students from seven public and private universities, as well as initiatives from established domestic and international companies in the information technology and telecom sectors, including two major mobile network operators.

At the forefront of the exhibition is “Durbin”, an AI-powered image processing solution, and a smart device access system developed with the support of Bangladesh Computer Council. These solutions, presented by Z-Tech, were innovated at Jahangirnagar University.

The Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST) is showcasing a digital twin concept. The university has also proposed a futuristic idea that allows physical block formation remotely through multiple operators using 6G network support.

The Islamic University of Technology (IUT) has brought a solution called SPARK and is also presenting a Bengali natural language-based automatic evaluation system for handwritten answers using deep learning. IUT is further showcasing Shonglap, a Bengali AI voice assistant, and Nabotarango, an AI-optimized mesh network for communication in disaster-prone situations.

Students from North South University’s CSE department have proposed a hybrid rural internet solution enabling multi-SIM usage via PTP microwave and LTE technology. World University of Bangladesh is presenting three project concepts, while Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) is highlighting ideas focused on circular economy enhancement through waste management in the electrical and telecom sectors.

Robo Life Technologies, a regular presence at such events, has returned with technology to aid the physically disabled. Their showcase includes an EMG-controlled prosthetic arm now integrated with a compact solar-powered telecom tower and a digital security solution.

Among the innovators, SignTalk is demonstrating AI-powered sign language technology, Smart Build is showcasing an inclusive network solution for marginalized communities under the name ArtPods, and Scrap Venture is offering futuristic telecom solutions.

Organizations such as eBitans, Red Digi, Bangladesh Satellite Company Limited, edotco Bangladesh, and Link3 are also presenting their innovations.

Mobile operator Banglalink is displaying real-time violence detection technology, while Grameenphone is showcasing three commercial innovation projects.

At the end of the fair, five of the most outstanding projects or ideas will be awarded. Winners will receive certificates and the opportunity for future collaboration and support from BTRC.
