Google Unveils Pixel 11 Series with Major AI and Camera Upgrades
Google has officially unveiled its highly anticipated Pixel 11 smartphone series, comprising the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL and the foldable Pixel 11 Pro Fold.
The new phones are powered by Google’s latest Tensor G6 processor, which is around 20% more power-efficient than the previous Tensor G5. It also delivers 25% faster browsing and 15% faster app loading. As a result, the built-in Gemini Nano AI can perform complex tasks, including live translation, more quickly and efficiently. The camera module has also received a design overhaul, combining a metal frame with a smooth glass covering.
Major Camera and Display Upgrades
The Pixel 11 series brings significant improvements to camera technology. Faster image processing has increased low-light photography performance by around 4.5 times, a feature Google calls “Instant Night Sight.” The premium models also offer up to 120x Pro Zoom.
The standard Pixel 11 features a 6.3-inch OLED display with a peak brightness of 3,000 nits. The premium Pro models can reach up to 3,600 nits and are twice as scratch-resistant as last year’s models.
The standard Pixel 11 comes with a 48-megapixel main camera, a 13-megapixel ultrawide camera and a 10.8-megapixel telephoto camera.
The Pixel 11 Pro and Pro Fold introduce a completely new feature called “Highlight.” It is a circular LED light positioned beside the rear camera that illuminates when a call comes from a preferred contact or when Gemini AI is performing a task, even when the phone is placed face down.
The camera app also introduces “Magic Capture,” which can automatically take and enhance photos and videos with a single click. The “Camera Looks” feature allows users to apply professional artistic styles to their photographs.
Google has also introduced an accessibility feature for people with hearing impairments that can convert American Sign Language performed in front of the camera directly into text.
Longer Battery Life and Faster Charging
Battery and charging performance have also received major upgrades. Thanks to adaptive battery technology, the new phones can operate for more than 30 hours on a charge, while the foldable Pro Fold is rated for around 24 hours.
Wireless charging is up to 25% faster with the new PixelSnap magnetic charging system.
Higher Prices, More Storage
Because of increased component costs, the prices of all four models have risen by $100.

However, the base storage of the standard and Pro models has been increased from 128GB to 256GB.
All four smartphones run on the new Android 17 operating system and offer IP68-rated water and dust resistance.
Pixel Watch 5 and Pixel Tag Also Unveiled
Alongside the smartphones, Google unveiled its new smartwatch, the Pixel Watch 5, and Pixel Tag, a tracking device designed to compete with Apple’s AirTag.
Powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon W5 Gen 2 chipset, the Pixel Watch 5 is 20% faster than its predecessor. It also introduces advanced health-monitoring capabilities, including long-term monitoring of blood-pressure patterns and indicators of insulin resistance.
The 41mm version offers up to 30 hours of battery life and starts at $399.
Meanwhile, the $30 Pixel Tag uses ultra-wideband and Bluetooth technology to help users locate their belongings. It is water-resistant, including underwater use, and can operate for an entire year on a CR2032 coin-cell battery.
