South Korean technology company Domyeong Meta has expressed interest in supporting the modernisation and digital transformation of Bangladesh's land administration system.
June 28, Sunday, the commitment was shared during a courtesy meeting with the Minister of Land at the Jatiya Sangsad office.
During the meeting, the company's representatives highlighted their capability to complete Digital Land Records and Survey (DRS) activities quickly and accurately using advanced technologies. They also pledged to work with local partner Dhaka Meta to deliver high-quality results within a short timeframe.
The Minister of Land outlined the government's ongoing plans to modernise and digitise land administration. He also called for greater cooperation in technology adoption, vocational training, skills development and research.
The minister described the digitalisation of land services as one of Bangladesh's major governance achievements. He said digital public services have improved transparency, empowered citizens and significantly reduced the influence of intermediaries.
He added that the adoption of advanced technologies would further strengthen an efficient, transparent and citizen-centric land management system.
