Prime Bank Partners with Green University to Promote Financial Inclusion Among Students
In a move to foster mutual collaboration and implement student-centered initiatives, Green University of Bangladesh has joined Prime Bank’s “Prime Academia” platform. Through this partnership, university students will gain access to digital fee payment, payroll services, school banking, and student accounts, while both institutions will jointly work to enhance financial inclusion and integrated financial solutions.
Following a seminar titled “Financial Inclusion: Engaging and Inspiring Youth in Banking,” held at the university campus, the two institutions signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to formalize their collaboration under the Prime Academia platform.
Representing Prime Bank, Shayla Abedin, Senior Executive Vice President and Head of Liability, highlighted the bank’s various initiatives for the youth. Meanwhile, M. M. Mahbub Hasan, Senior Vice President and Head of Financial Inclusion and School Banking, discussed the role of financial literacy in developing future leadership.
Speaking as the chief guest, Professor Dr. Mohammad Sharif Uddin, Vice Chancellor of Green University, stated, “Financial inclusion is essential for sustainable development and youth empowerment.”
Also present at the event were Pro-Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Khaja Iftekhar Uddin Ahmed, Treasurer Professor Dr. Md. Faizur Rahman, Dean Professor Dr. Mohammad Tareque Aziz, and Registrar Captain (Navy) S. M. Salauddin, among others.
