Contracts of Nine Secretaries, Including ICT's Sheesh Haider, Cancelled
The government has cancelled the contract-based appointments of nine secretaries from various ministries and divisions, including Shish haider chowdhury, Secretary of the ICT Division.
The Ministry of Public Administration issued separate orders on Monday, 23 February, ordering the immediate implementation of this directive.
The other secretaries whose contracts have been revoked are: Mokhles Ur Rahman, S.M. Akmal Hossain, and Kaiyum Ara Begum, all members of the Planning Commission; Sharifa Khan, Alternate Executive Director of the World Bank; Md. Saidur Rahman of the Health Services Division; Siddique Zobair (Senior Secretary), Director General of the National Academy for Planning and Development; Mohammad Yusuf, Chairman of the Land Appeal Board; and Momtaz Ahmed, Secretary of the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs.
Previously, on 14 September 2024, Shish haider chowdhury was appointed as Secretary of the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division, having been transferred from his role as a member of the International Cooperation Division of the Bangladesh Trade and Tariff Commission, with the status of Additional Secretary.
