BAU Launches Surgery Gallery for Vet Students

To expand practical learning opportunities for veterinary students, a state-of-the-art 'Surgery Gallery' has been inaugurated at the Department of Surgery and Obstetrics of Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU). On Thursday, October 22, Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Rafiqul Islam Sardar officially opened the facility.
DBTech Correspondent reported that this newly established surgical viewing arena integrates modern clinical technologies to help young students observe live procedures and gain hands-on technical insights. Relevant authorities stated that the infrastructure will significantly boost the professional capabilities of future veterinarians.
The inauguration event was attended by the Dean of the Veterinary Faculty, Student Affairs Advisor, Proctor, Director of Planning and Development, Head of the Department of Surgery and Obstetrics, and Director of the Veterinary Teaching Hospital (VTH), alongside faculty members and students. University officials emphasized that the addition of this technological setup bridges the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, helping students develop advanced competencies in animal surgery.
Faculty members and students from various departments under the Veterinary Faculty participated in the launch event. By incorporating clinical technology and interactive practical methodology into higher education, BAU aims to empower the younger generation to make significant contributions to the national livestock and health sciences sectors.
