New BSRI Committee Announced
New Committee Formed for Bangladesh Society of Radiology and Imaging

The new 21-member executive committee of the Bangladesh Society of Radiology and Imaging (BSRI) for the 2026–28 term has been announced. The information was shared in a press release sent by the organization on Tuesday, November 3, 2026.
In the newly formed committee, Brigadier General (Retd.) Dr. Syed Awsaf Ali has been elected president, while Professor Dr. Md. Nazrul Islam has been elected secretary general. The three vice-presidents of the committee are Md. Wahiduzzaman Bhuiyan, Sheikh Md. Rezaul Amin, and Ferdousi Mohammad Ali Kabir, and Mahmud Hasan Mostafa Kamal has been elected treasurer.
Additionally, Md. Borhan Uddin has been named joint secretary. Md. Jalal Uddin has been elected organizing secretary, Istiaq Mohammad Behnom as office secretary, Sharmin Akhter Rupa as science secretary, Md. Tarikul Islam as international affairs secretary, Elora Afroze Lima as publicity and publication secretary, and Syeda Nazli Mostafa as hospitality secretary.
The nine executive members are Ashraf Uddin Khan, Md. Abu Taher, Md. Shahidul Islam, A. S. M. Shahidul Hossain (Babu), Mohammad Nazrul Islam, Salma Shahnawaz Parveen, Monir Uddin Ahmed, Mahfuza Mahmud, and Mohammad Saiful Haque Ibne Mujib.
The newly elected committee has been greeted and congratulated by various physicians' organizations, including the Platform of Medical and Dental Society. Well wishes and success were extended to the new leadership.
