Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) hosted a high-level delegation from the Park Chung Hee School of Policy and Saemaul at South Korea's Yeungnam University as both institutions explored opportunities to expand international research collaboration and academic partnerships.

The discussion session was organized on Sunday by Professor Dr. Md. Asaduzzaman Sarkar of the Department of Agricultural Extension Education at BAU.

The delegation included Professor Dr. Jeong Joo Lee, Dean and Professor of International Development and Saemaul Studies; Professor Dr. Seok Min Yoon, Vice Dean and Professor of Special Physical Education; and Administrative Manager Jung Chun Lee.

During the visit, the delegation exchanged views with BAU faculty members and students on expanding joint research initiatives, academic cooperation, faculty and student exchange programmes, and broader international collaboration.

The delegation also paid a courtesy call on BAU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. A.K. Fazlul Haque Bhuiyan, who expressed keen interest in strengthening education- and research-driven partnerships with leading international universities.

According to university officials, the visit has created new opportunities for building a long-term institutional partnership between BAU and Yeungnam University. Future collaboration may include joint research projects, academic publications, capacity-building initiatives, and faculty and student mobility programmes, further advancing the internationalisation of higher education and agricultural research.
