Amid countrywide heavy rainfall and hostile weather, the results of last year's (2025) Primary School Scholarship Examination have been officially released through digital channels. The results were announced today, Sunday (July 12) at 12:00 PM during a press conference at the International Mother Language Institute. Shahina Ferdousi, Director General of the Directorate of Primary Education, unveiled the results in the presence of Education Minister Dr. A N M Ehsanul Hoque Milan and State Minister Bobby Hajjaj.

To get the results instantly via digital channels, students can go to their mobile message option, type DPE followed by a space and their roll number, and send it to 16222 (e.g., DPE 123456). Alternatively, detailed results with mark sheets are accessible online by visiting the DPE's IPEMIS website (https://ipemis.dpe.gov.bd/), selecting the 'Primary Scholarship Exam' option, and submitting the roll number, district, and upazila details. A total of 79,246 students secured scholarships this year, with 32,965 under the talent pool and 46,281 in the general category. The exams were conducted from April 15 to 18, 2026, across the country, except for three hill tracts districts where they were held from April 17 to 20.

Meanwhile, the growing demand from students and guardians to postpone the Dhaka Board's ongoing HSC examinations due to severe waterlogging has become the center of attention. Responding to media queries regarding this issue at the press conference, Education Minister Dr. A N M Ehsanul Hoque Milan stated, "We are closely monitoring the situation today and will sit for another meeting shortly to find a viable solution."

The minister added that they are waiting for the latest weather updates, as Dhaka has experienced severe downpours. Authorities are actively communicating with Deputy Commissioners (DCs) of 64 districts and respective board chairmen to monitor ground realities before scheduling or rescheduling exams. He assured that if conditions prevent holding exams safely, they will be suspended, emphasizing that the well-being of the students remains the ultimate priority.
