The long-running speculation surrounding the global release date of the most anticipated video game in history, Grand Theft Auto VI, has finally come to an end. Its parent publisher, Take-Two Interactive, has officially confirmed the game’s final release window, announcing that the blockbuster title will launch worldwide simultaneously in November.

For years, gamers around the world had been asking one question: would GTA 6 arrive on schedule, or face further delays? With Take-Two now confirming a November launch window, fans are expressing relief and renewed excitement. Industry analysts believe the title could become the biggest and most expensive entertainment release in history.

Major reveal at Paris Game Show

The final release announcement was made this week during the Paris Game Show by Take-Two Interactive and its development partner Rockstar Games. Earlier, a debut trailer released in December 2025 hinted at a 2026 launch, but the exact timeline remained unclear until now.

Alongside the announcement, a new trailer for the game was unveiled at the event. The 2-minute-20-second video showcased highly detailed graphics, the vibrant nightlife of the fictional city Viceburg, and several intense action sequences featuring the game’s two main protagonists, Jason and Lucia.

Pricing and pre-orders

According to industry sources, the standard edition of GTA 6 is expected to be priced at around US$70 (approximately BDT 8,200). Two additional premium editions featuring collectible content and extra in-game features are also expected to be released.

The publisher has reportedly planned to begin global pre-orders in the first week of July.

Initially, the game will launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and Series S platforms. However, PC gamers may have to wait longer before the game becomes available on desktop systems.

Expected to break entertainment industry records

Market analysts believe GTA 6 could shatter every existing entertainment industry record. The franchise’s previous installment, Grand Theft Auto V, generated US$1 billion in revenue within just three days of release, making it one of the most commercially successful entertainment products ever created.

With more than a decade having passed since the release of GTA 5, excitement surrounding the sequel has reached unprecedented levels. Analysts predict that GTA 6 could set entirely new sales records during its first week following its expected November 2026 launch.
