CUET Launches “Foundation Training for Lecturer” Workshop to Enhance Teaching Excellence
On Sunday, 5 April, the “Foundation Training for Lecturer” workshop commenced at the Academic Council Chamber of Chittagong University of Engineering & Technology (CUET).
Organized by the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), the workshop was inaugurated by CUET Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Mahmud Abdul Matin Bhuiya. The session was presided over by IQAC Director Professor Dr. Md. Abdur Rahman Bhuiya and conducted by IQAC Section Officer Md. Imran Hossain.
In his keynote speech, Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Mahmud Abdul Matin Bhuiya emphasized that education is the backbone of a nation, and teachers are its guardians. He remarked that teaching is not merely a profession but an art. Sustainable national progress is impossible without educational development, which fundamentally depends on teachers’ skills, perspectives, and modern pedagogical approaches in the classroom. He further noted that achieving quality education requires a coordinated approach involving educational management, administration, skilled teaching personnel, and an up-to-date curriculum. In addition, regular and high-quality training programs are crucial for the continuous professional development of teachers.
