The widely discussed Facebook page “Taju Bhai 2.0” has suddenly become inaccessible. Content creator Taijul Islam Taju, whose content had gone viral on social media, has left his followers concerned and frustrated as the page disappeared after midday on Sunday, 5 April.

Confirming the matter, Kabirul Islam, coordinator of the “Taju Bhai Team” and a local UP member, wrote on his Facebook page “Obela Music” that the page has been temporarily disabled and expressed hope that it will be restored soon.

A close source of Taju revealed that the page was temporarily taken down by Facebook authorities, though the exact reason for its removal has not yet been confirmed.

Taju’s associate Shah Alam Hosen confirmed the information, stating that the issue occurred due to a technical, temporary problem on the Meta (Facebook) platform. He added that such disruptions are natural during system updates and expressed optimism that the page will be accessible again shortly. Attempts to reach Taijul Islam directly via multiple phone calls were unsuccessful.

The sudden disappearance of the page has created uncertainty about the continuity of Taju’s popularity, and it remains unclear when or if the page will be reactivated.

Earlier, Taju gained attention on 26 March, Independence Day, by posting a video of selling jalebi with fewer than 10,000 followers. The video, filmed at Narayanpur Market in Nageshwari Upazila, showed him questioning a shopkeeper about prices. His simple, broken speech quickly went viral on social media, and within a short period, his page followers surged from a few thousand to nearly one million.

Taijul Islam Taju hails from a poor family in Sorgopara Village, Narayanpur Union, a remote riverine area of Nageshwari Upazila, Kurigram. He is the eldest among six siblings and the sole earning member of his family. Due to financial hardship, he never had the opportunity to attend school and most recently worked as an assistant to a mason in Dhaka. Speaking about his videos, Taju explained that he makes them to distract himself from the suffering of his sick and hearing-impaired parents. Despite facing online trolling, he has clearly stated, “I am not a journalist.”
