BACCO Meets Top Officials to Advance BPO Summit 2026 Plans
Members of the Executive Committee of the Bangladesh Association of Contact Center and Outsourcing (BACCO) held meetings with senior leaders and officials of relevant ministries as part of preparations for the upcoming BPO Summit 2026, scheduled for 9–10 May. Led by BACCO President Tanvir Ibrahim, the delegation also included General Secretary Faisal Alim, Joint General Secretary Musnad E Ahmed, and Treasurer Mohammad Aminul Haque, who took part in an exchange meeting following a courtesy call.
On Sunday, 29 March, the first working day after Eid, the delegation visited the Secretariat in the morning and met, for the first time, with Minister for Posts, Telecommunications and ICT and Science and Technology Fakir Mahbub Anam, as well as Adviser Rehan Asif Asad. During the meeting, BACCO presented souvenirs to the Minister and the Adviser as a token of appreciation. This was followed by a discussion session with BACCO leaders. Posts and Telecommunications Secretary Abdu Nasher Khan and Science and Technology Secretary Md. Anwar Hossain were also present.
Later, the BACCO Executive Committee members visited the ICT Tower in Agargaon, where they met newly appointed ICT Secretary Kazi Anwar Hossain. During the meeting, Director General of the ICT Directorate Md. Abu Sayeed and other committee members were present. BACCO Vice President Tanzirul Bashar also joined the meeting. The leaders discussed strategies and plans to successfully organize the BPO Summit 2026.
The meetings also featured productive discussions on the development of the BPO sector, strengthening Bangladesh’s position in the global market, and creating new employment opportunities for youth. According to sources, BACCO leaders expressed their commitment to working jointly with the ministries to establish Bangladesh as a strong global outsourcing hub through coordinated initiatives and sound policymaking.
