Instalment Customers Can Withdraw Cash
Walton Plaza Adds Emergency Cash Facility
- Protection cardholders can withdraw cash worth up to one instalment.
- Withdrawals are available at any Walton Plaza outlet nationwide.
- Customers also receive healthcare, education and lifestyle benefits
Walton Plaza has introduced an emergency cash withdrawal facility for customers purchasing products through instalments. Holders of its ‘Instalment Customer Protection Card’ can now withdraw cash equivalent to up to one instalment when they face urgent financial needs. The facility is available at any Walton Plaza outlet across Bangladesh, regardless of where the customer originally purchased the product.
The company said the primary objective of the Instalment Customer Protection Card is to strengthen customers’ financial security and support them during difficult times. The new facility is intended to provide assistance in emergencies alongside the company’s instalment-based product sales. It became effective on October 1 this year.
Under the ‘Instalment Customer and Family Protection Policy’, Walton Plaza provides financial assistance of Tk 50,000 to Tk 300,000 to the family of a protection cardholder who dies while instalments are still ongoing. The amount is determined based on the purchase price of the product. If a member of the customer’s family dies, the assistance ranges from Tk 25,000 to Tk 150,000.
The company also waives the outstanding instalments on the purchased product if the protection cardholder dies. In addition, Walton Plaza helps arrange employment for an eligible member of the deceased customer’s family.
Protection cardholders are also entitled to special benefits for everyday needs, including healthcare, education, travel, shopping and entertainment. Walton Plaza has agreements with more than 5,000 organisations across all eight administrative divisions of Bangladesh. These partners include hospitals and diagnostic centres, educational institutions, hotels and restaurants, resorts, amusement parks, airlines, and retailers of fashion and essential goods.
Walton Plaza also operates telemedicine and ‘Happiness and Healthcare’ programmes to support the health and well-being of customers and their families. Field-level officials assist customers with hospital admission, transportation to hospitals, arranging blood and obtaining medical consultations.
Walton Plaza Managing Director Mohammad Raihan said the company prioritises not only providing customers with quality products featuring advanced technology but also ensuring additional benefits for them. He said Walton Plaza considers its customers members of the Walton Plaza family, and the Instalment Customer and Family Protection Policy was introduced in line with that philosophy.
He added that the company is gradually expanding its agreements with partner organisations so customers can access benefits in different areas of everyday life, alongside financial assistance and the waiver of outstanding instalments.
