Family Man: 6 Million Views in 5 Days
Director Muhammad Mostafa Kamal Raz portrays the joys and sorrows of a middle-class family against the backdrop of Ramadan and Eid-ul-Fitr. This YouTube film, clocking in at 1 hour and 46 minutes, has garnered over 6 million views within 5 days of its release. A blend of real-life reflections, heartwarming performances by the actors, skillful direction, and emotionally resonant background music contributed to the film's success. "Family Man" was released on the CinemaWala YouTube channel during the Eid-ul-Fitr holiday.
On its release date, March 21st, the film received 3 million views on the CinemaWala YouTube channel. Within three days, viewership increased to 5 million, and by the fifth day, it surpassed 6 million. It has received over 13,000 comments. However, the rate of viewership growth slowed down in the following two days.
The story, written by Siddiq Ahmed, revolves around Mamun and Nilu, who are in love. Nilu's parents are wealthy, while Mamun works a low-paying job in Dhaka. His mother, younger sister, and grandfather live in their village. Mamun eats simple Iftar meals, dreaming of buying new clothes for them for Eid. He eats leftover rice for Sehri. Despite not receiving a bonus, he buys gifts for everyone instead of buying anything for himself and goes to his village. He carries the responsibility of his family on one shoulder and Nilu's love on the other.
Farhan Ahmed Jovan plays Mamun, and Tanjim Saiara Totini plays Nilu in "Family Man." They previously starred together in Muhammad Mostafa Kamal Raz's "Tomader Golpo" and "Samporker Golpo." This new YouTube film marks a hat-trick of success for the trio, following the previous two. Viewers have highly praised Jovan's performance as a young man dedicated to his family. His crying scenes, in particular, are exceptional. Simultaneously, Totini's expressions as the rural young woman Nilu have captivated everyone.
