CUET Releases Undergraduate Admission Results for 2025–26
Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) has published the results of its undergraduate first-year admission test for the 2025–26 academic year, according to university authorities.
As per the published results, a total of 9,498 candidates have secured positions on the merit list in Group ‘A’ (Engineering Departments and the Department of Urban and Regional Planning). Meanwhile, 303 candidates have been placed on the merit list in Group ‘B’ (Department of Architecture). In addition, one candidate has been selected under the quota list for small ethnic communities from the Chittagong Hill Tracts and other districts.
The results were published on the admission-related website at around 4:00 am on January 23. According to the notice, all candidates listed on the merit lists must log in to the admission website and complete the online choice form between 10:00 am on February 1 (Sunday) and 11:59 pm on February 10 (Tuesday).
During this period, applicants are required to provide necessary personal and academic information and specify their departmental preferences. Candidates applying for Engineering and Urban and Regional Planning departments must select a total of 11 preference options. However, no separate choice form is required for the Architecture Department.
The university authorities further stated that, in the first phase of admission, candidates ranked among the top 1,250 in Group ‘A’ and the top 75 in Group ‘B’ must appear in person at the university on February 25 (Wednesday) to complete the admission process.
If any seats remain vacant after completion of admission in the scheduled phases, candidates will be called sequentially from the subsequent positions on the merit lists, the authorities added.
It may be mentioned that the CUET admission test was held on January 17 (Saturday). Against a total of 931 seats, including 11 reserved seats, 13,942 candidates were initially shortlisted. Among them, 12,099 examinees actually appeared in the admission test.
