Anthropic Aims at Artificial Intelligence IPO by 2026
Artificial intelligence firm Anthropic could go public as early as 2026, according to the Financial Times. The report states that the company has appointed law firm Wilson Sonsini to prepare for a potential initial public offering (IPO). Anthropic, currently a leading AI company supported by Google and Amazon, operates the ‘Claude’ chatbot.
However, Anthropic emphasized that no final decision has been made regarding an IPO. Discussions remain at an early and informal stage, and the company has also held talks with major investment banks. Simultaneously, Anthropic is exploring a private investment round, which, if completed, could raise its valuation above $300 billion.
Led by Dario Amodei, Anthropic aims to nearly triple its annual revenue to $26 billion next year. The company currently serves over 300,000 business users. Its main competitor, OpenAI, is also preparing for a potential IPO in the second half of 2026, with an estimated valuation of up to $1 trillion.
Recently, Microsoft and Nvidia announced plans to invest up to $15 billion in Anthropic.
