Career Meetup Dhaka Cultivates Capacity
The ‘Career Meetup Dhaka 2025’ was held at Uttara University to enhance youth skills and provide professional guidance. The event, organised for the third time by Towhid Associates, took place on Friday, 14 November, with participation from students of various universities and polytechnic institutes.
The programme was chaired by Professor Dr. Md. Sultanul Islam, Dean of the School of Civil, Environmental and Industrial Engineering at Uttara University. The welcome address was delivered by Md. Towhiduzzaman, Founder of Towhid Associates and TVET Consultant.
Special guests included Kazi Tareq Ullah, Associate Professor and Director of Admissions at Uttara University; Md. Robiul Hasan, Director of Desh Polytechnic; Engineer Aminur Rahman Russell of National Tubes Limited; Engineer Jilani Khondkar, CEO of All Seba Limited; and Md. Jakir Hossain, Manager at the Youth Employment and Skill Development Institute.
The main session was conducted by Mohammad Ali Firoz, AGM (Programs and Activations) of Bdjobs. He discussed the current job market, effective CV writing, LinkedIn profile enhancement, and employer expectations. Jubair Hossain, Deputy Manager (HRM) of Pran–RFL Group, spoke about real interview preparation. Speakers emphasised skill development, technical training, and strengthening industry–academia collaboration.
More than 250 students from universities and polytechnic institutes participated in the event. Books were gifted to students courtesy of Samation Publication and E-Boi Bitan. The programme was hosted by Disha Jahan, and concluded with closing remarks from the chair.
