bKash Brings British-Bangladeshi Star Hamza to Boost Cashless Culture
British-Bangladeshi footballer Hamza Choudhury, a popular member of both the Bangladesh National Football Team and England’s Leicester City Football Club, will now encourage customers to adopt cashless transactions across the country. As the new brand ambassador of bKash, he will participate in various promotional activities designed to deepen the nation’s emotional connection with football while expanding digital transaction habits. The partnership also aims to further strengthen bKash’s overall digital ecosystem.
Following his recent appointment as goodwill ambassador for mobile operator Robi Axiata, Hamza Choudhury has now signed an agreement with bKash at a hotel in Dhaka. The event was attended by bKash Chief Marketing Officer Mir Nawbut Ali, Chief Legal Officer Mazedul Islam, Chief External and Corporate Affairs Officer Major General Sheikh Md. Monirul Islam (Retd.), Head of Brand Ashraf-ul-Bari, along with other senior officials.
Hamza Choudhury is one of the most celebrated football stars of the time, admired not only for his performance on the field but also for his inspirational influence off the pitch. His international exposure, professionalism, and positive public image have made him a widely respected figure across different segments of society. Actively involved in social development activities, Hamza has supported welfare initiatives for street children in Bangladesh and contributes financially to an orphanage in Habiganj, Sylhet, where his family resides.
As bKash’s brand ambassador, Hamza will join various promotional campaigns to enhance public awareness of bKash’s services and to promote the company’s values among the general population.
