UITS Teams Triumph at Innovation World Cup Bangladesh 2025
Two teams from the University of Information Technology and Sciences (UITS) have achieved remarkable success at the Innovation World Cup Bangladesh 2025, earning a gold medal and an honorable mention among the country’s leading innovators.
The gold-winning team “Three Zero” comprises Md. Ibrahim, Sharmin Ema, Farhana Mehjabin Tushti, and Asif Muntasir Sifat. The team receiving an honorable mention includes Ishraq Uddin Chowdhury, Kazi Md. Azhar Uddin Abir, Fahima Abida Chowdhury, Sumaiya Binte Ismail, and Abdul Momen Safin. The UITS teams participated under the supervision of the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE).
The competition was held on November 7, with over 406 teams and nearly 1,500 innovators from across Bangladesh taking part. Through their creativity, innovation, and dedication, the UITS teams secured positions among the top 85 finalists. This outstanding achievement qualifies both winning teams to represent Bangladesh at the International Invention, Innovation and Creativity Competition (I³C) and the Innovation World Cup 2026, which will be held in Bandung, Indonesia, from January 28–31, 2026.
UITS also fondly acknowledged the efforts of its other two participating teams, recognizing their hard work and creative contributions that reflect the innovative spirit of the university’s students. Team “Plainers” includes Asif Mahmud, K.M. Zakaria, Promy Clara Rosario, and Omar Faruk Rakib, while Team “SpeedSign” consists of Reyajul Islam, Sadia Jannat, Israt Jahan, and Md. Rayan.
The Innovation World Cup 2026 serves as a global platform where creative ideas and technology-driven innovations compete, fostering cross-cultural collaboration and presenting forward-looking solutions for a better world. Similarly, the International Invention, Innovation and Creativity Competition (I³C) 2026 highlights university students’ creativity, problem-solving abilities, and research-oriented mindset.
The success of UITS’s “Three Zero” and “SOUND VISION” teams is not only a proud moment for the university but also a shining example of the innovative potential of Bangladesh’s youth. They are set to raise the national flag high at the upcoming international round in Bandung, Indonesia, from January 28 to 31, 2026.
The national phase of the Dreams of Bangladesh (DOB) competition was organized by DOB, with exclusive partnership from MIICA Malaysia. Congratulating the winning teams, UITS stated, “This achievement is the result of their hard work, intellect, and innovative spirit, reflecting the university’s commitment to ‘Building a Brighter Future through Knowledge, Research, and Innovation.’”
